At Wichita Festivals, Inc., our mission is to create community celebrations. Here are the events we currently produce:
Originally a one-day event to recognize Wichita’s centennial in 1970, the Wichita River Festival, now known as Riverfest, has grown into the largest community event in Kansas. The nine-day festival, which welcomed 380,000 attendees in 2014, features local and national musical entertainment, children’s activities, athletic contests, water activities, performing and visual arts, cultural experiences and everyone’s favorite, festival food.
A Riverfest tradition, River Run features a downtown route adjacent to the Arkansas River, finish line party at Runner’s Village, entertainment at WaterWalk Stage, Admiral’s Pancake Feed and an early-morning hot air balloon launch.
Autumn & Art at Bradley Fair
An alfresco fine arts show and sale, Autumn & Art at Bradley Fair features 100 artists from across the U.S. Grab a bite to eat at one of the booths representing Bradley Fair’s outstanding restaurants. Partake of wine, beer or a soft drink from the cash bar as you stroll the parkway and enjoy live music and other entertainment. Kids can create hands-on art projects; shop at Artie’s Clubhouse, a gallery for youth; and enjoy art-themed games.
Bob Struble Memorial Golf Tournament
Established in memory of Bob Struble, a longtime friend of Riverfest and Wichita Festivals, Inc., this fundraising tourney is a four-person scramble with a shotgun start at Crestview Country Club’s prestigous North Course. Proceeds benefit a cancer care or research charity.
